Panel on Circular Economy Organized
On the occasion of celebrating two decades of successful work of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, a panel discussion titled “Circular Economy – Support to Sustainability or Obstacle to Profitability” was held on October 16, 2025. The event brought together representatives of academia, the business community, and the financial sector.

The panel was also attended by the President of the Chamber of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mrs. Diana Babić. The aim of this panel was to raise awareness about the importance of the circular economy as a concept that connects sustainability and profitability.
The panel moderator, Prof. Dr. Dženan Kulović, emphasized that this topic was chosen because Bosnia and Herzegovina, unfortunately, still records alarming data when it comes to waste, particularly food waste.
The panel was held under the slogan “One Mission – Boundless Impacts and Opportunities,” as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, carrying the message that sustainability and profitability can — and must — go hand in hand.
