Role and Tasks
of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Chamber of Commerce

MAIN ROLE

  • Legitimate partnership representation and protection of the interests of Chamber members before legislative and executive authorities and administration in the preparation, adoption, and implementation of laws and other regulations in the field of economic activity;
  • Improving the development of the economy and entrepreneurship;
  • Performing public authorizations (issuing certificates of origin of goods, etc.);
  • Other tasks and activities aimed at increasing the efficiency of members' business operations and their successful inclusion in market flows (IT, education, development programs and projects, introducing quality systems for Chamber members, product and service standardization, measures to protect domestic production, as well as professional, organizational, marketing-promotional, and other assistance to members).

CONCEPT OF ORGANIZATION AND ACTION

  • Professional associations perform tasks and represent the interests of all activities within their scope;
  • Departments perform tasks and represent the interests of several associations within their structure;
  • The Chamber's bodies (Assembly, Management Board, Supervisory Board, and President) monitor the issues of all sectors and represent the interests of all Chamber members.

CHAMBER MEMBERS AND MEMBERSHIP FEES

  • All registered business entities headquartered in the Zenica-Doboj Canton based on a written statement of joining the membership;
  • Membership in the Zenica-Doboj Canton Chamber of Commerce also grants simultaneous membership in the Federation of BiH Chamber of Commerce;
  • By joining, each member secures: equal membership in the chamber system, the right to participate in electing representatives to all forms of chamber organization, the right to use all resources of the chamber system, the right to participate in all forms and programs of the chamber system's activities, the right to use all results from the chamber system's activity programs and assistance programs, the right to legitimate representation before legislative and executive authorities, as well as representation with business entities and other associations, and the right to an organized appearance and representation through the chamber system at fairs and other promotional events;
  • By decision of the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Chamber of Commerce and based on agreed relations, the criteria and amount of the unified monthly membership fee are determined, taking into account the economic strength of the members.

  • Through education programs;
  • Professional consultations, round tables, and symposiums, presentations of macro projects, and similar;
  • Assistance to members in developing development programs, registering newly established companies, and more;
  • Marketing-promotional activities for members;
  • Preparation and organization of members’ participation in fairs, exhibitions, and other forms of presentation;
  • Building partnerships with foreign and regional chambers of commerce;
  • Organizing and hosting visits of business delegations from other regions and countries, as well as establishing business communication with interested members;
  • Participation in selected trade fairs and other economic events, within the chamber system and in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber;
  • Preparation of promotional and marketing publications, brochures, prospectuses, CDs, etc., for individual members, groups of members from certain industries, or to present the entire economic structure;
  • Information on possible sources of financing and their conditions;
  • Information on technological and other innovations;
  • Information on demand and supply in the country and abroad;
  • Information on laws and other regulations in the field of foreign economic relations;
  • Issuance of documents in accordance with public authorizations;
  • Other professional and organized tasks and assignments as required by members.
