Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton Participated in Training on Project Communication within the Danube Region Programme
Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton participated in the training entitled “Effective Project Communication and Storytelling”, held on 20–21 May 2026 in Konjic. The training was organized by the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, acting as the National Contact Point for the Interreg Danube Region Programme 2021–2027.
The training was intended for representatives of partner organizations implementing projects under the first and second calls of the Danube Region Programme. Its objective was to contribute to higher-quality project communication, with a focus on the use of practical and AI-based tools for social media, as well as storytelling approaches for presenting projects to different audiences, including the general public and decision-makers. The purpose of the training was to improve the quality of project communication towards various stakeholders, including decision-makers and the wider public.
The Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton is a project partner in the “SteelCityZen” project approved under the Danube Region Programme. The project brings together 11 partners from 9 countries to address a common challenge across the Danube Region: the vulnerability of (mono-)industrial cities undergoing economic transformation. These cities, often dependent on a single resource-intensive industry, are particularly exposed to employment risks associated with structural changes such as the green and digital transition.
The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of local self-government units to diversify local labour markets and support inclusive and sustainable development. This will be achieved through enhanced stakeholder cooperation, improved coordination between local self-government units and employment actors, and the development of innovative tools for local skills assessment and matchmaking.
The project implementation period lasts 36 months, from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028.
