Meeting Held on the Results of Tracking Studies in Secondary Vocational Education
A meeting was held on December 1, 2025, at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton with representatives of secondary vocational schools, relevant ministries, and business entities. The aim was to present the results of the Tracking Studies for 2024 and 2025, developed as part of activities to improve the secondary vocational education system.
The studies are based on a survey conducted among business entities involved in practical training, providing relevant data on students' employability, the alignment of their competencies with the needs of the economy, future labor market demands, and the number of students who completed practical training with the support of certified mentors.
Participants discussed the challenges and needs identified through the studies and provided valuable suggestions that will serve as the basis for drafting the Chamber’s recommendations for improving the secondary vocational education system. These recommendations will be submitted to the relevant institutions with the aim of further strengthening the quality of practical training and cooperation between the education sector and the business community.
The mentioned activities are part of the project “Improving the Framework for Sustainable Secondary Vocational Education with a Focus on Green Transformation”, implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The project “Improving the Framework for Sustainable Secondary Vocational Education with a Focus on Green Transformation” is supported through the “Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion” (SEDEP) program, which aims to improve employability in Bosnia and Herzegovina by supporting the digital and green transformation of the economy. The SEDEP program is co-financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by GIZ.
