VISIT TO ZENICA COMPANIES UNDER THE CO-FINANCING PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYMENT AND ADULT EDUCATION
As part of ongoing successful cooperation with businesses in Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Minister of Labor, Social Policy, and Refugees of ZDK, Antonio Šimunović, together with the President of the ZDK Chamber of Commerce, Diana Babić, and their team, visited the companies Empress d.o.o. Zenica, RM-LH d.o.o. Zenica, and Profil Group d.o.o. Zenica on November 6, 2025.
The visit took place within the framework of the Co-Financing Program for Employment and Adult Education, designed to meet the labor market needs of Zenica-Doboj Canton. This program has been successfully implemented for many years, thanks to the support of the ZDK Government, through the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, and Refugees, and in cooperation with the Federal Employment Service.
This year’s program includes the training of 35 unemployed individuals and their subsequent employment across five sectors – metal processing, woodworking, construction, textile, and electrical – through vocational training for the following professions: welder, CNC operator, plastics processor, seamstress, and electrician.
During the visit, the companies showcased their production capacities, work organization, and achievements within the program, reflecting the successful partnership between institutions and the business sector.
The visit confirmed the importance of synergistic action among all stakeholders to create sustainable jobs, develop workforce skills, and enhance the competitiveness of businesses in Zenica-Doboj Canton.
