CONTINUATION OF THE "BUY LOCAL - LET'S STRENGTHEN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA" CAMPAIGN: PROMOTION OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTS PLANNED ON NOVEMBER 20 IN ZENICA CITY CENTER

Zenica, October 31, 2025 - Samir Šibonjić, Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, held a working meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Diana Babić, and colleagues, where they discussed the continuation of the "Buy local - let's strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina" campaign. The campaign to support domestic companies and workers is carried out through a project to promote the domestic economy, domestic production and domestic products.

"This is the first time that in an institutional way we give concrete support to the idea of ​​"let's buy local". It is extremely important that we all stand on the side of local producers, local companies and all the workers who struggle on the market every day. They all contribute to the strengthening of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a very direct way and I am very grateful to them for that. It is precisely by purchasing local quality products that all of us, together with entrepreneurs and workers, make a decisive contribution to the imperative of growth and development of our economy, strengthening the standards of all our workers, but also creating realistic assumptions for higher pensions, better health care and education, because without economic independence, there is no stable and strong state," Minister Šibonjić said on that occasion.

It should be noted that the initiator of the project is the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, which provided the necessary funds for its implementation, and that this Ministry is conducting the campaign together with the Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

This Program once again confirms the commitment of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Ministry of Economy of ZDK to, in cooperation with the ZDK Chamber of Commerce, contribute to the improvement of the business environment, competitiveness of the domestic economy, employment and economic prosperity of ZDK.

The activities are carried out under the slogan "Buy local - let's strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina", with the aim of increasing awareness of the importance of supporting domestic production, promoting local producers and improving the competitiveness of business entities in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of one of the following program activities, which will take place on November 20, 2025 in Zenica City Center. It is planned to jointly promote domestic products, producers and the ZDK economy at the event, through direct interaction between consumers and producers, and to remind people of the importance of buying domestic products.

We invite all citizens to support the event, local producers and visit the exhibition stands on November 20 in Zenica City Center from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, in order to jointly contribute to the promotion and strengthening of domestic products, producers and the economy of ZDK.
